Let us pray

Thank you, Father, for this day which you have made.  We rejoice in your presence and honor you for your mercies which are new this very morning.  What an awesome God we serve!  May we bring our whole hearts before you and worship the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  You are worthy, Lord.  We honor you with our praises, for your love is higher than the heavens and your faithfulness reaches the skies.

Lord Jesus, as we look at the world around us, fill us to overflowing with the hope of Christ.  We claim your strength and protection over believers across this land.  We rebuke discouragement in our own hearts, in the name of Jesus.  May we call upon your name day and night and learn the sound of your voice.  Turn the desert of our fears into living streams of joy in our Lord. Deliver our eyes from tears and our feet from stumbling.  Open the gates of righteousness that we may enter and give thanks for you, O’ Lord are good and your love endures forever.

Father God, surround us with angels as we walk through this day.  Give us the strength to build upon the glimpse of heaven you have put into our hearts that we may help build your kingdom here on earth.    May we see your glory rising above the confusion and feel your guiding hand.  Let your peace permeate deep in our hearts that we will not be swayed by what we see unfolding but will remain steadfast in our Savior.  We declare your sovereignty and hold fast to your might because we are children of the Almighty who was and is and is to come.

Lord Jesus, we declare victory across this land and cry out for revival in our own hearts in the name of Jesus. Melt away our pride and mold our desires with an eternal perspective that changes our very thoughts.  May we bring you honor and glory with our present desires, may we plead the blood of Jesus over our past regrets and may we put our future hopes in the hands of our mighty Lord and Savior.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray

Scripture

Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.  Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.  Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.  Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.  Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.  Psalm 119:33-37

Quote

To have faith in Christ means, of course, trying to do all that He says. There would be no sense in saying you trusted a person if you would not take his advice. Thus if you have really handed yourself over to Him, it must follow that you are trying to obey Him. But trying in a new way, a less worried way. Not doing these things in order to be saved, but because He has begun to save you already. Not hoping to get to Heaven as a reward for your actions, but inevitably wanting to act in a certain way because a first faint gleam of Heaven is already inside you. ~ C.S. Lewis

Let us pray

We come before you today with hearts filled with gratitude for the grace and mercy we receive.  What a blessing it is to know we are held in the arms of our mighty Savior.  We have confidence to enter the most holy place because of the blood of Jesus and we are standing in your presence on holy ground. We enter the inner sanctuary behind the curtain where Jesus has gone before on our behalf.  May we be filled with confidence in your Word, and may we not harden our hearts, Lord Jesus, but may we hear your voice.

We pray for the balm of Gilead to wash over our nations and heal our lands.  Bring restoration in the name of Jesus. Give strength to believers around the world and send a mighty host of angels to intercede on behalf of your people.  You are the Messiah who has come and will return again.  You have called us out of darkness into your marvelous light and we claim victory and salvation for the people of God.  May we bow down so you can lift us up for you are faithful to all your promises and rich in love.

Lord God we pray you will help us meditate on your unfailing love rather than our fainting hearts.  Fill our minds with thankfulness for all your mighty deeds and replace any discouragement we may have with the joy of the Lord.  You are our hope and we cast our cares on the One who sustains for you will not let the righteous fall.

Meet us in the quiet and reveal your will in a new and personal way. May the groanings of our heart, reach the ears of our Lord where our confidence lies.  Use us for your purposes and may our lives be a reflection of your glory.  Restore your people and rebuild the hope among the nations which can only be found in the saving grace of Jesus.  Sweep across this land with a revival that shakes the status quo and re-establishes your Lordship.

May the God of peace who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus that great Shepherd of the sheep equip you with everything good for doing his will and may he work in us what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ to whom be glory for ever and ever. (Hebrews 13:20)

In the mighty name of our God and Savior, we pray

Scripture:

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.  As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;  for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”[ 1 Peter 1:13-16

Quote:

It’s tempting to define success by popularity rather than faithfulness and seek to be relevant to avoid self-sacrifice, conflict, or suffering. The simple truth is that Christian faithfulness involves not only our doctrine and lifestyle but also our habits, attitudes, and affections. It isn’t enough to sprinkle Christian truth on lives shaped more by the cultural moment than the gospel ~John Stonestreet

Let us pray

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for this new day and the opportunity to gather together. We praise you for your unrelenting love.  We worship you for all the ways in which you protect and guide without us even knowing and for your sovereign hand upon our lives.  The heavens declare your glory and we worship your holy name, singing songs of praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Holy, holy are you, Lord.

You have promised, Father God to bring us peace as we turn our thoughts to you, so we focus our mind on our precious Savior right now.  You are our refuge and our strength, and You are enough, Lord Jesus.  May we empty ourselves so we may be filled to overflowing with more of you.  Put your Holy Spirit upon us and anoint us to do your will.

Sweep across this land with a great awakening, in the name of Jesus.  Bring believers everywhere to a new-found awareness of your miraculous power that sparks a mighty revival and an overwhelming harvest of your children coming home.  May we have the boldness of Esther, the courage of David, the obedience of Noah, and the commitment to our tasks and devotion to prayer of Nehemiah.

Lord Jesus, give us renewed conviction of where we need to surrender our fleshly desires that we may be completely devoted to our relationship with our Heavenly Father and may we consecrate our lives to you.  Help us to see through the distractions of this world and remain focused on the precepts of our God.  We are free by the grace of God.  We are cleansed by the blood of Christ.  We are no longer slaves to this world but we walk in victory today.  Heal our hearts.  Heal our minds.  Heal our bodies, in the name of Jesus.

We declare your might for we are covered in your righteousness by the cleansing power of Christ.  May we put on the full armor of God so we can stand strong in these days, declaring your truth in the name of Jesus.  Give us the strength to choose you in all aspects of life, Lord.  Make us patient in our waiting, faithful in our doing and relentless in our praying.

In the mighty name of Christ our Lord, we pray

Scripture

Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.  Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:14-17

Quote

Revival is the visitation of God which brings to life Christians who have been sleeping and restores a deep sense of God's near presence and holiness. Thence springs a vivid sense of sin and a profound exercise of heart in repentance, praise, and love, with an evangelistic outflow.  - J.I. Packer

Let us pray

Thank you, Father, for bringing us together today to worship you.  We give you all the glory and praise for your faithfulness in our lives.  We are overwhelmed with the vast love and the mercy of our God.  By the blood of Christ, we are washed clean and are taken directly into the holy of holies and ushered into your presence.  Reveal in a new way what an incredible honor it is to come before the Almighty God and Creator of the universe.  May our praises rise to the heavenly realms and be pleasing to you, Lord God.

We come to you today and lay our burdens at the foot of the cross.  You are our fortress and our salvation, and we put our trust in your ways.  Though we lack understanding, we serve a sovereign God who holds us in His hands.  Though we may lack faith, you O’ Lord are eternally faithful. Though we fall short, our God is the Alpha and Omega and The Everlasting One.

You are worthy, Father of all praise.  May our lives be a living, breathing sacrifice for all you have done.  By your stripes we are healed, and we claim that healing today, in the name of Jesus.  By your Word we are filled with all knowledge, and we ask for a hunger that can only be satisfied by daily communion with You.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are enveloped in your presence, and we invite the Holy Spirit to walk alongside us today.  By your faithfulness we are made whole, and we claim victory over sin and shame and commit to bringing you honor with our lives.

Bring a new great awakening across this land, Father God and a revival in the hearts of believers around the world that we would be overcome with the desire to serve you by the power of the Almighty King.  May we commit ourselves to start each day with time spent in prayer.  Fill our souls to overflowing with your presence, bathe us in your mercy and re-ignite a passion for your Word, in the name of Jesus.

In the mighty name of Christ our Lord who is the same yesterday, today and forever, we pray.

Scripture

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.  He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.  He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.  Psalm 18: 2, 16-19
