Let us Pray

Lord we come to you to today with humble adoration of what a mighty God we serve.  Because of the blood of Christ, we are ushered straight into the holy of holies and have an audience with the King of Kings who rules and reigns and has conquered death and the grave!  We give you glory for the steadfast love you have for your people.  We give you honor for your endless mercy and grace.  We give you praise for the Word of God which directs our paths and encourages our hearts.

Father God, we ask today for your blessing upon our lives and upon our nation.  Bring your people to a renewed commitment to the discipline of prayer and the joy of being alone in your presence.  We pray for a miraculous touch on each one of us in mind, in body, and in spirit.  Heal our brokenness, Lord in the name of Jesus.  May we walk in wholeness, not because of our own capacity and might, but because our hope is in the Almighty God who upholds us in trials, strengthens us in temptations, and comforts us in distress.

We invite the Holy Spirit to cover our thoughts and fortify our beliefs and resolve.  May we declare your faithfulness through all generations and walk in the knowledge of our high calling in Christ.  You, O’ Lord are our Rock and our Defense and in your name, we declare victory in this land and reclaim any and all footholds of compromise in our own hearts and minds.  Renew our faith to see beyond the circumstances of the day and give us kingdom mentality as we trust that all your ways are right and everything You do is worthy of our trust.  Fill us with your peace.  Quiet our spirits that we may feel the hand of God.

In the powerful name of Christ, our Lord we pray

 Scripture

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  Do not quench the Spirit.  Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.  May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thess 5:16-23

Quote

We cannot attain to the understanding of Scripture either by study or by the intellect. Your first duty is to begin by prayer. Entreat the Lord to grant you, of His great mercy, the true understanding of His Word. There is no other interpreter of the Word of God than the Author of this Word, as He Himself has said, "They shall be all taught of God" (John 6:45). Hope for nothing from your own labors, from your own understanding: trust solely in God, and in the influence of His Spirit. ~Martin Luther

Let us pray

Lord Jesus, we praise you for this new day. We are blessed to call you Father and acknowledge the need for your lordship in our life. We ask you to inhabit the praises of your people as we join together to worship you in spirit and in truth. We give you honor and praise for your grace and mercy and glory for your guiding hand.

Lord God, we ask for your hand to guide us today. We pray that you will re-establish your almighty power in our intercession. Re-ignite godly fervor in our striving and re-define our understanding of success. Re-new our commitment to your word and to the discipline of prayer. Replace our hopes and dreams for this world with visions of what it means to live eternity minded. Reach down into the innermost parts of our hearts and turn our sorrow into joy, building endurance, encouraging character, and producing hope. Revive our calling in Christ Jesus that we may bring your light to a lost and dying world.

Fill us, Lord Jesus with your presence. Fill us with your intentions. Fill us with the Holy Spirit, revealing the transformational power available to all who believe. Let us not become complacent in the habitual practices of this life. Break the chains of bondage, open the floodgates of heaven and pour out your blessings on your people. We ask for a mighty move of the Spirit in believers around the world, bringing repentance and revival in our hearts and minds. We give you praise for you are our peace and our soon returning King. May we be found ready and waiting, busy about our Father’s business.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray

Scripture

Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever. Psalm 28:6-9

Quote

It is not what we do that matters, but what a sovereign God chooses to do through us. God doesn't want our success; He wants us. He doesn't demand our achievements; He demands our obedience. The Kingdom of God is a kingdom of paradox, where through the ugly defeat of a cross, a holy God is utterly glorified. Victory comes through defeat; healing through brokenness; finding self through losing self. ~ Charles Colson

Let us pray

Lord Jesus, we praise your name.  Blessed be the name of the Lord.  We honor and adore you for you are the mighty King who rules and reigns.  You are so good, Father and everything you do is worthy of our trust.  Thank you, Jesus, for your redemption and for the wonder working power of the blood. Hallelujah to the one who gives us salvation and sets us free! Open our eyes that we may see your love enveloping us:  the warm evening breeze, the birds singing their own song, the grass swaying in the wind.  All of heaven joins in and creation declares you are Lord!

We come to you today to pray for not only the state of our nation, but also for the state of our hearts.  Speak to us, Father.  Quiet our thoughts that we may hear you whisper our name.  Reveal your plans and purposes that we may serve you in a deep and fruitful way.  Plant our feet firmly on the solid rock as we allow your word to transform our minds.  Give us spiritual boldness to speak truth where there is compromise and courage to dispel the deception that demands our concession.

We claim victory as we tear down the strongholds in our lives. Lord Jesus, Give us a thirst for righteousness.  Fill us with an overwhelming desire to fall to our knees each day to seek your face as we fill our minds with the Word of God. Help us not to lean on our own understanding, but to acknowledge you in all our ways.  Send a mighty infilling of the Holy Spirit across this land that brings miraculous transformation to our world.  Move mountains and make a way, Father.  In the name of Jesus we ask that you would direct our path, deepen our longings, and declare your glory throughout this land.

In your powerful, holy name we pray

Scripture

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.  Psalm 63:1-4

Quote

We cannot rely on ourselves, for we have learned by bitter experience the folly of self-confidence. We are compelled to look to the Lord alone. Blessed is the wind that drives the ship into the harbor. Blessed is the distress that forces us to rest in our God. ~ Charles Spurgeon

Let us pray

Thank you Lord Jesus for today.  We pause in this moment to turn our thoughts towards you, for you are worthy of all praise and we are so blessed to be called children of God.  Fill us, Lord with gratitude and let us not be distracted by our own challenges and desires.   We praise you for your amazing grace.  We give you glory for we have been given sight where we were blind.  You found us in our sin and we are forgiven by the power of the blood of Christ. Hallelujah! Your grace is sufficient to cover our yesterdays and we can walk in victory today.

Lord God, we ask for renewed faith in the authority of your word to meet our every need.  We claim the power of the resurrection in our circumstances, Lord.  Show your might through a miraculous intervention in our hearts and across this land.  We continue to pray for a supernatural intervention for our nation and in our leaders.  We claim righteousness in the name of Jesus.  We rebuke the powers that are infiltrating our churches and deceiving people in your name.  Separate the chaff from the wheat, Lord.  Give us discernment that we made lead others according to the sovereign, unchanging Word of God.

We choose your way, Father.  We choose to walk in this world, but not be of this world.  We choose to stand for truth, for we are called to hate what is evil and cling to what is good.  We choose to turn our hearts towards you, for you are the author and finisher of our faith.  We choose to honor you in the middle of the storm.  We choose to earnestly seek your face, Father God.

Lord Jesus help us to see where we have allowed the striving of this life to take hold of our heart’s desires.  May we be willing to trust you with our whole being, with our families and with our tomorrows.  For we do not know what the future will bring, but we know who holds tomorrow and we know who holds our hand. Bring a stillness to our souls and renew our hope as we fully commit our lives to you.  Fill us to overflowing with your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus our Lord.

In the name of the Father, we pray

Scripture

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3

Quote

There is, however, a crucial difference between a profession of faith and the possession of faith… It is not the mere claim to faith that makes us Christians. We must have what we claim to have to be truly in Christ.  Jesus somberly warned about those who say, “Lord, Lord,” who are not His (Matthew 7:21). He made it clear that people can honor Him with their lips while their hearts are far from Him. ~R.C. Sproul

Let us pray

Lord God, we gather today to bring you honor and praise.  We enter your gates with thanksgiving for you are good and your love endures forever.  Your faithfulness continues through all generations. We come before you with great thankfulness for the love you demonstrated and the sacrifice you made so we could be redeemed by the blood of Christ. We glorify your name, Father and lay our burdens at the foot of the cross.

You have promised to extend peace like a river and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream and we declare your purposes across this land.  You have revealed yourself and you are exalted above heaven and earth.  Every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess the name above all names.  For if this world denies the Lord of Lords, all of creation declares your glory!

We praise you Yahweh for you are the very breath of life.  May the peace of God wash over us as we put our trust in you.  Fill our minds with thoughts of the greatness of our God rather than the issues of our time.  Turn our eyes towards our Savior and away from worldly despair.  Uproot in us anything that is not of the Spirit, for you have called us out into righteousness.  Increase our passion for knowing you, Lord.  May we wake each day with a deep desire to hear from you.  We pray for a fresh dip in the fountain of the Holy Spirit and ask that you impart your wisdom in the mighty name of Jesus.

Revive our prayer life, Lord and help us to seek you in earnest.  May we fall to our knees in supplication so by your grace we may be lifted up. Ignite the flame of revival we pray and may your hand of mercy be on our country. Speak to us, Lord and help us to listen.  Like a mighty rushing wind, descend upon our lives and fill the rooms of our hearts with your Holy Spirit that we may walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

In the name of the Father who sits on the throne, we pray

Scripture

It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.

For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!  Psalm 92:1-5
